Schedule: Weekend of Memorial Day, Thursday-Saturday

This classic festival has continued for over 35 years and includes the best available bluegrass, old-time, and gospel musicians. Mountain music fans from all over the world come together to experience the birthplace and music of Ralph Stanley. There is a big camping area with plenty of electric hook-ups, showers and restrooms. Be sure to bring a lawn chair because you do not want to take your eyes off of the stage and you can't dance three full days. Check the website for specific performers and times. There are no alcohol or coolers in concert area.

Directions: From Coeburn follow the festival signs to Hwy. 72 North (approximately 1 mile from the 4-way stop downtown) and turn right on Rt. 652, "Dr. Ralph Stanley Highway," at Tom's Creek. Go about 10 miles and turn left on Rt. 643, which leads to the festival gates.
