Schedule: Once a year, date changes annually

Once a year at the Jettie Baker Center there is a benefit for the Dickenson County Food Bank. The event consists of a large group gospel sing to bring out the Christian spirit of generosity. Everyone is welcome whether or not they know the gospel songs. The money and food help those who are impoverished in the community, including school supplies for children. Call ahead for the date and time of the event.

Directions: From I-81 take Exit 17 at Abingdon. Turn towards Abingdon at the bottom of the ramp and go 1 mile to Main Street. Turn left. Take a right on Hwy. 19 North, which also becomes Hwy. 58 for several miles. Make a left on West Alternate 58 (just past Ken's Chrysler), which will lead to Coeburn. From Coeburn take Hwy. 72 North for 18 miles. Intersect with Hwy. 83 and turn right. Follow this for 1.5 miles into Clintwood and turn left onto Main st. The Baker Center is just beyond the Ralph Stanley Museum.
